At My-Doctor.uk, we understand that many doctors are eager to offer private consultations but find the traditional route to private practice daunting due to high costs, complex systems, and the need for extensive administrative support. That’s why we’ve developed a flexible, cost-effective platform designed specifically for NHS consultants and GPs who want to offer private consultations in a more manageable and affordable way, even on a small scale.

Our platform allows you to set up your own micro private practice, enabling you to provide both online consultations and face-to-face appointments with minimal overhead. Initially focused on online work, My-Doctor.uk provides a seamless system for booking, payments, video consultations, and secure storage of electronic medical records. In the near future, we hope to offer access to clinical rooms for face-to-face appointments, which can be booked automatically through the platform at select locations.

My-Doctor.uk was born out of my own experience as an NHS doctor for over 18 years. I was often asked to provide second opinions or private consultations, especially by patients’ friends and relatives living out of the area. As doctors, we frequently find ourselves offering informal advice to those close to us, but this can be challenging without the proper systems and indemnity coverage in place. I realised that many of my colleagues were facing the same challenges, wanting to offer private consultations without committing to a full private practice.

That’s why I decided to take a sabbatical from my NHS work to develop My-Doctor.uk, aiming to create a low-cost, easy-to-use platform where doctors can manage a small number of private patients, allowing for flexibility and professional safety. Whether you want to consult occasionally or build a more consistent private practice, our platform gives you the tools to grow at your own pace.
